Sitka offers great King and Silver salmon fishing opportunities and all other salmon species in and around local hot spots in Sitka sound and surrounding areas, including rivers, inlets and streams. Typically the salmon fishing runs May through September, with June being the most productive for kings and July, August and September good for silver's.

St. Lazaria Island is a local gem located about 20 miles southeast of Sitka and is a favorite place often visited on our tour and is home to thousands of petrels, murres, puffins, auklets, eagles, falcons, gulls and oystercatchers. Whales, sea otter, sea lions and seals are often abundant in Sitka sound. The coast line shore of Kruzoff Island often offers coastal brown bear and Sitka black tail deer viewing.

Kruzof Island is a popular destination for camping and hiking. Mt. Edgecumbe can be reached from a hiking trail which begins at Fred's Creek on the island's eastern shore.
U.S. Forest Service Cabins are located throughout the Tongass National forest. Reservations for the Forest Service cabins can be made at www.recreation.gov.
Goddard Hot Springs is a unique destination located 16 miles south of Sitka and features shelters and natural hot springs hot tubs.
